About the role: The Director of Cultivation Processing oversees all post-harvest operations across Nectar’s cultivation network, including drying, trimming, inventory management, packaging, logistics, and materials management. This role is responsible for optimizing workflows, coordinating harvest support, and ensuring product moves seamlessly from cultivation to retail or distribution with efficiency, compliance, and consistent quality.

Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday
Key Responsibilities:
Post-Harvest Operations Management:
- Oversee all drying and curing processes to maintain product quality, consistency, and compliance.
- Direct trimming operations—machine and/or hand trimming—ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and minimal product loss.
- Implement and refine standardized operating procedures (SOPs) across all processing functions.
Inventory Oversight:
- Manage all post‑harvest inventory including raw materials, processed goods, packaged product, and bulk inventory.
- Ensure accurate METRC tracking, compliance documentation, and reporting.
- Develop systems to reduce shrink, maintain traceability, and increase inventory accuracy across facilities.
Packaging & Fulfillment:
- Oversee packaging workflows, ensuring products are packaged according to brand, compliance, and operational standards.
- Coordinate fulfillment schedules with retail and distribution departments.
- Ensure quality control checks are performed throughout packaging and labeling processes.
Packaging Materials & Production Management:
- Manage procurement and inventory of all packaging production materials including jars, lids, casepacks, and labels.
- Develop and maintain re-ordering systems to ensure adequate supply levels and prevent disruptions.
- Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to maintain cost-effective and timely materials availability.
Lean Manufacturing Systems Development:
- Design and implement lean manufacturing systems for trimming and packaging operations.
- Identify workflow inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
- Standardize processes to increase throughput, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
Delivery & Logistics Coordination:
- Manage delivery logistics from processing facilities to retail stores, wholesale partners, and distribution hubs.
- Optimize transportation routes, schedules, and communication to ensure timely deliveries.
Personnel Leadership:
- Lead, manage, and mentor processing teams including supervisors, leads, and staff.
- Oversee hiring, training, scheduling, performance reviews, and team development.
- Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Harvest Support & Collaboration:
- Work closely with Cultivation Leadership to plan and execute harvest schedules.
- Coordinate labor allocation, equipment needs, and processing timelines to support consistent throughput.
- Provide insight into post‑harvest data to improve cultivation outcomes.
Farm Operations Support:
- Be available for operational needs related to cultivation and farm workflow continuity.
- Support farm teams as necessary to ensure seamless coordination between cultivation and processing.
- Be available, along with the processing team, to assist in responding to and resolving farm emergencies.
Farm Operations Support:
- Monitor KPIs across all processing areas and implement improvements based on data and operational needs.
- Ensure all activities meet state compliance regulations, safety standards, and company policies.
- Collaborate with leadership to forecast labor, equipment, and supply needs.
Qualifications:
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in cannabis processing, post‑harvest operations, or related fields; leadership experience required.
- Strong understanding of drying, trimming, curing, packaging, and cannabis logistics workflows.
- Experience with lean manufacturing systems and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team‑building skills.
- Expertise with METRC and cannabis regulatory requirements.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple facilities or projects simultaneously.
- Ability to analyze data, optimize processes, and drive operational efficiency.

Compensation: $120,000, Full-time, Salaried Position
