About the role: As a Facilities Technician, you will assist the Facilities team with day-to-day tasks that help keep operations running smoothly. This includes handling light maintenance duties such as replacing light bulbs, changing remote batteries, managing keys, and supporting other basic facility needs. You’ll work closely with the Facilities Technician to help reduce routine workload and ensure timely completion of small but important tasks.
Reports to: Carter Dehart, Director of Facilities
Schedule: Full-Time, M - F, weekends as needed
Key Responsibilities:
General Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, appliances, and exterior structures.
- Assist in diagnosing and resolving basic facility issues to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
Team Collaboration:
- Work closely with the Senior Maintenance Technician to complete assigned tasks and projects.
- Support team efforts by assisting wherever needed to meet deadlines and priorities.
Vendor Coordination:
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for repairs, maintenance, and facility-related projects.
- Help ensure work is completed according to company standards and timelines.
Facility Standards:
- Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization across all facility areas.
- Support a productive and professional environment through consistent upkeep.
Transportation Support:
- Drive company vehicles to pick up parts, tools, and supplies as needed.
- Ensure safe and responsible operation of company vehicles in compliance with policies.
Issue Reporting:
- Identify and report unusual, urgent, or potentially hazardous issues to management.
- Provide clear and timely documentation to support resolution.
Training & Meetings:
- Attend all required training sessions to build skills and maintain compliance.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to ongoing communication and improvement efforts.
Additional Duties:
- Perform other facilities-related tasks as assigned.
- Demonstrate flexibility and a team-first approach in a dynamic work environment.
Qualifications:
Required
· High School Diploma or GED.
· Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to operate company-insured vehicles.
· Ability to pass background, criminal, and drug/alcohol screenings.
· Clean driving record
· Ability to lift up to 80 pounds and work outdoors or on your feet for extended periods.
· Basic working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems.
· Ability to read a tape measure and understand basic measurements.
· Ability to safely operate basic tools such as drills, stud finders, levels, and similar equipment.
· Basic computer proficiency, including MS Office and email.
· Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Preferred
· Minimum of 2 years of relevant maintenance or facilities experience.
· Experience with drywall repair and painting.
Soft Skills
· Strong mechanical aptitude with a willingness to learn new skills.
· Ability to follow direction while also demonstrating initiative.
· Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Dependable, self-motivated, and capable of working with minimal supervision.
· Positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
Compensation: $35 per hour
